Our Story is a hidden story told through pages shown after collecting Crates throughout The City in Submerged.
The Story
According to the pages, the last vestiges of humans lived on elevated platforms. Miku and Taku are two such people. Their family was bright and happy, with a mother and father who routinely fished to provide for the family. One day, the mother was caught in a terrible storm, and drowned in the deep.
The father, distraught by the loss of his wife, began to drink heavily. Miku, angered by his drinking, shattered his bottle, causing the father to chase her in an attempt to kill her. Taku stepped in front of the father, and was impaled by a spear. Miku ran away with Taku, as the father lamented his attack.
After travelling for days, the two found the fabled last city, and Miku set out to find supplies to take care of her brother. She nursed him back to health, and they left the city, seeking a new life.
